block 7 Birds in the air

I am always curious how the same pattern is looking with different fabric. So for this week Kathinca choose blok 7 and 8. Lida asked us if we would love to join her group and post an up date once a month. Thanks for the offer but we will post still once a week. We have a new Lady who want to join us so a welcome to Valentina.

Block 8 Bouquet 

Lida vroeg of wij misschien mee wouden doen met het updaten van de FWQ xe9xe9n keer per maand. Wij [Kathinca en ondergetekende} vinden dat iets te weinig, wij houden het gewoon leuk op iedere vrijdag. Nieuwe dame die ons groepje nu tot drie maakt is Valentina. WELKOM.

Week xc2xbd6/7/8 – FWQAL is a post from MarPie.

On Monday august the 15^, there was something new in our house. Something for the very first time. I donx92t aloud anyone else behind my sewing machines then myself. Realy and I have machines of my own since 1978. Even my daughters ore my sisters, they have never bin behind one of my sewing machines. Today came Chris and she brought me some gifts, flowers and a new mouse. Now I have two of them.

Vanwege ziekte mijn kant kon de afspraak de vorige keer niet doorgaan maar nu was het dan eindelijk zo ver. Frodo was meteen weg van Chris {wie niet?}. Zo vrijgevig als ze is had ze een paar kadootjes voor mij. Een mooie bos bloemen en een hele leuke muis. Daar had ik er al eentje van dus nu heb ik een paar {of een nieuwe spaar hobby erbij} en leuk dat ik ze vind.

Today I let here sit and practice behind my Grand Quilter to do some free motion quilting.The photo of the hands on the quilting are the hand form Chris. We had some really quality time together. Next time {because there is definitely going to be a next time}I am asking Chris to not bring more gifts to me, her being here is the gift for me.

Ben heel zuinig op mijn naaimachines en naaispullen. Nou mag je best mij naaispullen gebruiken {alleen niet met een stofschaar papier knippen, dan word ik heel erg boos} maar aan mijn naaimachines komt niemand anders dan ik. Tja, de naaimachinehandelaar misschien maar meer niet. Nou het wonder is geschiet Chris mocht achter mijn Grand Quilter zitten en ook nog even gebruiken, om te oefenen in het vrij quilten. De fotox92s zijn allemaal door mij genomen dus de handen zijn de handen van Chris druk aan het werk. Dank je wel Chris voor de super gezellige uren die we gehad hebben, plus bedankt nogmaals voor de kadootjes. Volgende keer geen kadootjes, jouw aanwezigheid is kadootje genoeg echt waar.

The original week by Angela is week eleven, by me it is week 3/4/5 and half a week 6. So my total is 11 blocks now. Have to make sure that the next week will be an even number of blocks.

Dotty had het boek voor mij helaas niet, na even rond gebeld te hebben had de Quilthoeve het wel. Dinsdag besteld en woensdag kwam het boek al. Wat mij op viel was dat het zo leuk was in gepakt. Sorry, had het al uitgepakt voordat ik dacht daar moet ik een foto van nemen.  

Dotty did not had the book for me but I collided around and the Quilthoeve was the lucky one for me. Ordered it on Tuesday and it was delivered the next day. Have to say the way it was reaped, like a little present, so nice. I was so happy that I had the book know that I forgot to take a picture before unpacking the book.

Blok 14 en blok 5 heb ik van twee bedrukte stofjes gemaakt. Weet nog niet of ik ze erin hou want ik vind ze een beetje te druk. Bij blokje 67 Pine Tree had ik een donker effen stukje paarse stof gebruikt, dat vind ik wel erg leuk dus wil nog even bij de Sampler langs voor wat meer kleurtjes die wat donkerder zijn. Och, kijken jullie ook even bij Kathinca om te zien hoe ver zij is? Doe je zelf ook mee met deze quilt along, laat het me dan even weten, maak ik een stukje aan in de rechterbalk met allemaal dames {heren} die deze FWQAL meedoen. Fijn weekend ?

On two blocks I used two printed fabrics. I am not sure they stay in the quilt because they are to busy and less clear on the pattern. On the Pine tree I used a darker piece of purple and loved it. So I am going to the shop and get me some more dark fabric for this quilt. Go and see how Kathinca is doing this week if you please? If you are also doing this quilt along lat me know and I will make a link on the right side with all the ladies and gentleman that are doing this FWQAL. Have a nice weekend ?

Dan is er een reactie van Kathinca, zo leuk. Zij blijkt deze "quilt along" ook te doen. Vraagt ze aan mij of ik er zin in heb om het samen te doen. Nou, daar hoef ik niet over na te denken natuurlijk. Vanaf nu iedere vrijdag is het onze dag voor de FARMERS WIFE QUILT ALONG.

[it was me ;o)))] She asked me if it would be fun to do this together, of course it is and so we decided that we are posting our FWQAL- blocks on Friday. Kathinca has already made a special album for this quilt. She also has an album for her other work, she can appliquxe9 like the best, go and see.

Kathinca heeft al een aparte foto site gemaakt voor haar blokken. Dit is haar x93gewonex94 foto album. Echt niet gewoon hoor, want  ik vind dat ze heel erg mooi kan appliqueren. Overtuig je zelf, door een blik bij haar te werpen.

I bought a plastic box especially for this project. So that when I want to make a block everything is in one place. The little box is for the little parts of the fabric, when the parts are to small to use in this quilt, they are going in the jar for the small leftovers. Block this week are: block 2# Autumn Tints, Block 6 # (no book jet, so no name), Block 4# Basket Weave. Have a nice weekend.?

Heb een bak aangeschaft wat dus nu officieel de fwqal-bak is. Stofjes en patroontjes worden er in bewaard. Zo heb ik snel alles bij de hand om een blokje te maken. Een klein doosjes is voor de restjes/stukjes die nog te gebruiken zijn in de quilt, anders gaan ze in de restjes pot. Deze week drie blokken erbij. Blok 2# Autumn Tints, Blok 6# naam houden jullie nog te goed , Blok 4 # Basket Weave. Fijn weekend ?

Week 2 xe2x80x93 FWQAL is a post from MarPie.

x85I did it againx85 starting a new project. Who? What? Now over here I saw it for the first time, then up to here, and I was hooked. They are making the quilt with totally different fabric then the original quilt. I had some nice fabric laying for it so I ordered the book. Had to wait for ten days and got the DVD instead. My bookstore could not order the book any more. The DVD only works with EQ5 and luckily my sister has it. So up to my sister and back home with the first 15 paper piece patterns. 13 patterns for paper piercing and two I have to draw myself.

x85 ben je verkocht. Boek besteld, weekje wachten, wat tien dagen werd en een DVD. Boek is niet meer te bestellen via mijn boekhandel. DVD werkt alleen op EQ5 gelukkig heeft zuslief dat. Op naar zuslief en die heeft meteen 15 patronen uit geprint. Dertien kan op de paper piece manier gemaakt worden twee zelf tekenen.

Between housekeeping and entertaining the visitors I made two blocks {block nr: 1 and 13}today. On Wednesday august 3th they are in week 10. If you can, it is  two blocks in a week so I am a little behind. Not that much so I should be able to catch up in two weeks or so. Hopefully I got the book next week. Have a nice weekend ?
